Beautiful photography to capture your day….
Congratulations on your engagement!
Whether you’re having a huge or a small intimate wedding your day is unique to you and I want to capture every special moment you’ve spent so much time thinking about.
I’ve been shooting weddings for over 15 years and have met and photographed so many couples. Having been married for over 25 years myself, I can still remember by wedding day filled with love and laughter. I want to you to have gorgeous photos you will just want to keep looking at for years to come.
On your big day your wedding is my only focus; I only do one wedding per day which means I can dedicate my time and energy to you and your wedding, capturing wonderful memories. You deserve the best for your wedding.
I will work with you both to find out all about your day and what you hope to achieve. This is such an important step that I offer a complimentary pre-wedding shoot no matter how big your wedding is going to be - this allows us time to work together before your big day and helps get over any nerves you may have in front the camera. It really does help that I am not a total stranger on the day of your wedding! Click here to find out why a pre-wedding shoot is so important..
On the day, I usually start with the bride getting ready and work through to the first dance so every important moment of your wedding is photographed and lets your album tell the story of your day.
I will capture your dress, shoes and jewellery before you put them on and photograph the little details that may not be so easy to see from a distance but are so important to you. I also take lots of shots of your beautiful flowers when they arrive - you have spent time choosing the perfect blooms so you’ll want to see gorgeous images when you look back. The same goes for the all the elements that go together for your wedding breakfast, the table decorations, the wedding favours - all the things you have so carefully decided on to make your day perfect for you both.
Before your ceremony I speak to the Registrar or Vicar to find out what I’m allowed to photograph - every ceremony is different and sometimes there are limitations but I do my best to get the shots you want and work with them to achieve this.
We then come to the people - your nearest and dearest who are there to share your love and commitment. Capturing natural moments is what I love to do, showing real heartfelt expressions and moments and for the formal group shots of you with your family and friends, rest assured, I will take several shots of each group to ensure you never have to have a photo with someone blinking! We work together to create a list of the groups that are important to you both and I will then tick them off as I go so I don’t miss anyone out. I take so many photographs you’ll never know have been taken so you don’t miss a thing.
And then there are the shots of you both as a married couple, I always try to whisk you away from the wedding party for 20 minutes to capture romantic shots of you both. This is a lovely period of calm when you have a few moments together with just me taking shots of you and most couples really enjoy it. We keep to simple and effective poses that show the connection and love you have for each other.
Having a smaller wedding? Not a problem I can accommodate exactly what you want.
