Why a pre-wedding shoot is so important.

I’ve always offered all my couples a pre-wedding shoot no matter the size of their wedding or the amount of time they would like me there.

The time we spend together really does help you get to know me so I’m not a total stranger turning up behind the scenes of one of the most important days of your lives. Weddings are full of love and laughter but they can also be stressful so having someone there that you know and totally trust to take beautiful photographs of you both can really help.

Most people, generally, aren’t used to being photographed professionally. These days , people are probably the most photographed of any generation as everyone walks around with a camera in their pocket but that doesn’t mean you enjoy it or even like the photos taken of you. Having a pre-wedding shoot helps you both get over your camera shyness before the actual day because you will experience what it’s like to work with me and also see the results.

The pre-wedding shoot helps me as I can learn lots of the details you are planning for your day. You also get the chance to experience how I will pose and direct you so you don’t need to worry about his side of your wedding.

We often do the shoot at the wedding venue, this also helps me understand why you have chosen this venue and what elements of the building and grounds you love. We can then make sure these are included in the photographs and be time efficient on the day because we know where we need to go.
